Peter Haytaian

Pete Haytaian serves as Executive Vice President, Elevance Health and President, Carelon, where he is responsible for the strategic direction, performance, and growth of Carelon’s diversified assets and services, which includes pharmacy, behavioral health, complex and chronic care, and advanced analytics, and advancing integrated clinical care models and solutions that improve quality and health outcomes.

Most recently, Pete served as Executive Vice President and President of Anthem Inc.’s Diversified Businesses Group and IngenioRx, and held previous roles leading Anthem’s Commercial and Specialty Business Division, Government Business Division, and Medicaid business as part of the Amerigroup acquisition. While at Amerigroup, he held a number of senior leadership positions, including CEO of the Medicaid North Region and head of the company’s Medicare Advantage business. Prior to joining Amerigroup, Pete served in a variety of leadership roles at Oxford Health Plans Inc., and was a regulatory attorney and lobbyist on healthcare and election law issues at Graham, Curtin & Sheridan PA.
